I didn't set out to start a skincare brand. I set out to find one product — just one — that I could actually trust on my most sensitive skin. When I couldn't find it, I made it myself.

It started the way a lot of things start — with a problem I couldn't solve by buying something. I had been dealing with skin sensitivity for years. Not just face sensitivity. Everything. And every product I tried — no matter how "natural" the label claimed to be — either irritated my skin, contained ingredients I didn't recognise, or simply didn't do what it promised.

I remember standing in a pharmacy in Melbourne, reading the back of a product that was marketed as "gentle" and "dermatologist-recommended," and counting seventeen ingredients I couldn't pronounce. I put it back on the shelf. And then I went home and decided that if I couldn't find what I was looking for, I would learn to make it.

The kitchen bench years

For the next year, my kitchen bench became a laboratory. I ordered books on ayurvedic medicine. I read study after study on botanical ingredients. I grew herbs. I made batch after batch of formulations that didn't work — too thick, wrong pH, separated overnight, smelled nothing like what I intended.

But somewhere in that year of failures, something clicked. I started understanding why certain plants do what they do. Why turmeric has been used in Indian skincare for 4,000 years. The knowledge was always there. I just needed to learn it — and then find a way to make it accessible, beautiful and suited to the skin of modern Australians.

The first products I made — the Sacred Blosson Yoni Elixir and the Yoni Wash — I tested on myself for months before I let anyone else try them. When the formulas were finally right, I gave samples to family and friends. Their skin responded. The feedback was everything I had hoped for.
